Who runs this site

www.caztoon.com is run by Cazfps, the creator of the CazToon shader. If you have a question about your privacy, contact us on our Discord server.

Visit statistics

We count visits with our own statistics tool, on our own server. It uses no cookies and saves nothing on your device. For each visit we store:

• the pages you viewed, how long they were open and in use, and how far you scrolled;
• which parts of a page you saw, and which buttons, links and pictures you clicked;
• the site you came from (for example YouTube), when your browser shares it;
• your country, your type of device (computer, phone or tablet), your browser and your operating system;
• the time of the visit.

To count each visitor once a day, your IP address and browser details are scrambled together with a random key that changes every day and is then deleted. The result can't be traced back to you, or followed from one day to the next. Your IP address is also used, at that moment, to look up your country. The address itself is never stored.

We keep these statistics for as long as they're useful to us. They contain nothing that identifies you.

Hearts

When you leave a heart, your browser keeps a random code, so the site remembers that you already gave one. We store only a scrambled version of that code, to count one heart per browser. To stop spam, the server counts how many hearts come from each IP address, in its memory only; the addresses aren't saved.

Your browser also remembers whether you've already seen the heart pop-up. Both are kept in your browser's local storage, not in cookies, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server writes a short line for each request: your IP address, the time, the page or file asked for, the page you came from, and your browser. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and they're deleted automatically after 14 days.

The YouTube video

The trailer is a YouTube video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. Then it plays from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and Google's privacy policy applies to it.

Other sites

Links to Patreon, Discord, Modrinth and other sites take you to services we don't run, with their own privacy policies. You get CazToon through Patreon, so your payment and account details are handled by Patreon, under their privacy policy.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no ad trackers.
• No Google Analytics, Facebook pixel or any other outside tracking.
• We don't sell or share visitor data.
• The fonts are on our own server, so opening the site doesn't contact Google Fonts.

Where it's kept

Everything above is stored on our own server, in the United States. We don't give anyone else access to it.

Children

The site is for Minecraft players of all ages and never asks for personal information. The statistics can't identify anyone, children included.

Your choices

You can clear this site's data in your browser at any time, which removes the heart code. Because the statistics can't be linked to you, we can't look up, show or delete one person's visits. For anything else about your data, contact us on Discord.

Changes

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
